The
International and Rural Organization for Balanced Development
and Environmental Protection, Incorporated (INROBADEP, INC)
is a non-profit organization [ 501 (c) (3)] striving to
improve the standard of living of people from rural Senegal.
The organization is a direct service provider that promotes
education, agriculture, forestry and community development.
Special emphasis includes health education, skills training,
research, technology, and strategic, social and economic development.
Participatory development, self-education and self-reliance
are also promoted to enhance sustained development and social
well-being.
These rural populations, as they help themselves, need support.
They must understand their "own" situation and problems,
and confront them through self-help and technical assistance.
The "self" does not exclude the help of outside resources;
instead, individual, private and public, national and international
contributions in this process are extremely important, necessary
and sought.
The focus of this organization is to assist rural people in
building their capacity to establish, implement, sustain, monitor
and evaluate educational, social and economic development programs.
